Title Track From New Album Of Rare,
Never Before Released Collection Of Recordings
Barbara Fairchild's Previously Unreleased Recording of
The Don McLean Penned Song, "And I Love You So" is Available March 3rd

NASHVILLE, TN (March 3, 2023) -- Barbara Fairchild is an entertainer music fans have adored for more than six decades, earning her a string of country music hits, a Grammy nomination and induction into the Arkansas Country Music Hall of Fame and the Christian Music Hall of Fame. And now, for the first time, in conjunction with Country Rewind Records, a rare collection of never before released recordings will be made available to fans on an album titled, "And I Love You So." That title track hits radio today, March 3, 2023.

Fairchild shares, "This single, "And I Love You So," is such a beautiful song written by Don McLean. I have always enjoyed singing this type of song that has so much emotion in the lyrics. Along with great Lyrics, the melody Don wrote for this song is really amazing. "

The words, "And I Love You So" are not only an endearing message to Fairchild's many fans, but The "American Pie" songwriter's contribution leads off a treasure trove of music.
This album is truly a rarity. It consists entirely of tracks specifically recorded to be aired as radio shows. Country Rewind president Thomas Gramuglia discovered the master tapes – long thought to have been lost or destroyed – and placed them in the safe hands of producer Aaron Dethrage who skillfully brought the recordings up to twenty-first century audio standards.

The track list features Barbara Fairchild performing never before heard versions of her signature hit, "Teddy Bear Song" and her chart hit, "Kid Stuff." The list of rare recordings continues with Fairchild's unique renditions of standard classics like "Behind Closed Doors" and "Satin Sheets," along with the Tom T. Hall and Johnny Rodriguez penned song, "You Always Come Back (To Hurting Me)." And appropriately for the Christian Music Hall of Fame star, this collection would not be complete without her powerful and emotional performance of the Kris Kristofferson written classic, "Why Me Lord."

"I'm very excited that Hindsight Records is making these recordings available to fans who might not have heard some of these songs that weren't released as singles. The timing couldn't have been better. I'm just so Thankful for this project," remarks Fairchild.

Consequently, Barbara Fairchild's distinct vocal style and the timeless music is sure to bring together generations with this 14-track collection.

About Barbara Fairchild:
Known for her signature hit, "Teddy Bear Song," Barbara Fairchild is a Grammy Award nominated and Christian Music Hall of Fame entertainer. Fairchild began singing at the age of five, now performing to crowds for over six decades. Barbara Fairchild's impact on country music began when producer Billy Sherrill, known for his association with Tammy Wynette and George Jones, signed her to a record deal with Columbia Records in 1969. That union resulted in her first Country Top 40 hit with “A Girl Who’ll Satisfy Her Man” in 1970. This was followed by four more songs to enter the Top 40 between 1970 and 1972, the most successful being “Thanks For The Mem’ries” and “Love’s Old Song”. The following year, in March of 1973, “Teddy Bear Song” ascended to the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, produced by Jerry Crutchfield. The song went on to become a crossover hit and rising to No. 32 on the mainstream Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Canadian Country charts, garnering a Grammy nomination for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Female in 1974 . “Kid Stuff” and a string of hits continued through the 1970s. In total, Barbara Fairchild has charted thirty-seven singles in addition to recording numerous albums. As a member of The Grand Ladies, her ministry and her touring shows, Barbara's sincere love for people and her bubbly personality bring light to why the phrase, "to see her is to love her" best defines Barbara Fairchild.
