Dear Traveler,

Spring travel is underway, with many of my clients preparing to head off on their spring break trips or other short getaways while the weather in the states is slowly warming. While the Caribbean and Mexico are very popular, I also have clients traveling to Italy, Spain & Morocco. And I just had clients return from a bucket list trip to Antarctica (the one trip where the weather might have been colder than in the U.S.!).

My family just returned from our spring break and for a second year in a row, we chartered a crewed catamaran in the Virgin Islands. We sailed on a different boat this year (Tru North) with a different crew, but the experience was just as magical and every bit as relaxing as we had hoped. My blog post this week dives into the highlights of our trip and how it differed from last year. As my Blog Throwback, I've also included our spring break trip last year on Huntress, which focuses more on the basics of a charter in the Virgin Islands. If you've been considering a chartered boat, I encourage you to read both blog posts.

For my travel news, tips, and updates this week, I've included a list of the 57 most beautiful places (according to Condé Nast Traveler) to give you ideas for your next vacation. Since I just returned from St. Thomas, I've included an article "A Local’s Guide to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands" to give you ideas on what to do if you head down to St. Thomas a day or two before your boat charter. And following up on my last Cruise News Newsletter about solo cruising, I've included an article from AFAR magazine on how cruising might be one of the best ways to travel solo.

Best,

David
