Dear SWTA Members,
At last week's SBUSD Governing Board meeting a lot of misinformation was shared. It was implied repetitively that we, SWTA leadership, had misinformed our members. Therefore, we want to set the record straight.
Below you will find our latest bargaining update. In the update misconceptions that were raised and suggested are clarified. After viewing the presentation, I invite you to click on the Call to Action link and urge you to sign the petition. During this pandemic it is imperative that the district commits to ensure that school buildings are safe and clean for in-person instruction by agreeing to the safety standards in writing. Safety is of greatest importance before school buildings reopen. Our interest is and always will be the health and safety of students, staff, and their families by assuring the appropriate learning and working conditions.
#MakeItSafeNow.
United We Stand,
Vanessa Barrera
