Installation Mass
On Tuesday, September 5th, the Most Reverend Nelson J. Perez was installed as the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of Cleveland in a solemn ceremony at St. John Cathedral. Our very own Mrs. Burke and her husband, had the honor and privilege to be in attendance at this momentous occasion and they will remember it forever.

Our St. Bernadette students began the morning by praying for our new Bishop. They also had the opportunity to view the live streaming of the Mass in their classrooms.

Congratulations to our newest Bishop and may God bless him on this new journey in his life!
Calling All Moms!
St. Bernadette has a special group for Mom’s called MOD (Mom’s Off Duty) which meets once monthly, the Second Thursday of the month. The overall purpose is for Mom’s to g ather and share experience in rearing their children with personal and family Christian values. An enjoyable book is a starter for dialogue! Conversation is lively and Mom’s helping Mom’s is always a bonus!  All Mom’s are invited to the first gathering in the Parish Library on September 14th at 7:30 PM!

Pennies for Harvey Reminder
Our St. Bernadette Student Council has officially kicked-off a "Penny War", which will run through next week.

Each classroom has a bucket for collecting coins or dollar bills. The value of any  pennies collected by a classroom will count positively toward that classroom's point total, while the value of other coins or dollar bills will be subtracted. Our students will be competing between classrooms. One will be a winner chosen between the K-3, 4-5, and 6-8 homerooms.

All proceeds will be forwarded to the Arch Diocese of Galveston who have organized a relief effort between church communities. Click on the link for more information.
Magazine Sale Reminder
Our annual Magazine Sale kicked-off this past Tuesday and runs through September 19th. Packets came home with the youngest child that day. There are numerous prizes and incentives, including Kalahari and Sky Zone passes, Apple Watch, $250.00 gift card and so much more! Best of all ...funds raised will benefit St. Bernadette School!
