Largest Tax Cut in 30 Years
I have great news to share… this past Tuesday, the Board of County Commissioners passed the largest property tax reduction in thirty years! By a unanimous vote, your County Commission agreed it was time to give residents some relief by lowering the proposed maximum millage rate from 4.715 to 4.500. We said NO to the status quo and put taxpayers first by returning your money to your family’s pocket. This constitutes millions of dollars in savings!
You will pay less in ad valorem taxes this year, even if your property’s value has increased. Rest assured; we will not put our high standard of county services at risk. Palm Beach County has enjoyed an increase in revenues due to the addition of new properties, an increase in property values, and the investment income produced due to our Clerk of Circuit Court/Comptroller. Moreover, the influx of new residents and businesses has generated additional revenues that have further enabled your County Commission to return the excess to you, the taxpayers. Again, it’s your money!
Thank you for the honor and privilege of being your County Commissioner. I will always have your best interest at heart. I am here to serve District 3 and all of Palm Beach County. Together, we will continue to fight for efficient and effective government.
NOTE: Public Hearings on the proposed millage rate will take place on Thursday, September 7 & Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 5:05 p.m. in Chambers on the sixth floor of the Robert Weisman Governmental Center at 301 Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
