COMMUNITY UPDATES
With the 4th of July just around the corner, we wanted to reach out and extend our warmest wishes for a joyous Independence Day celebration. It's a time when we come together to celebrate with Friends, Family, and Neighbors.

As we gear up for the 4th, we kindly request that you refrain from setting off fireworks in the community common areas. While fireworks can be awe-inspiring and exciting, they also pose potential risks to the safety and well-being of our residents, pets, and property. By keeping the fireworks in designated areas, we can ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for everyone. (Please see the article below for additional fireworks information from the Town of Queen Creek.)

We have some pre-holiday festivities planned next week, and we would love for you to join us for the "Patriotic Popsicle Pop-Up." It's a fantastic opportunity to mingle with your neighbors, participate in games and crafts with family and friends, and build stronger bonds within the community. And, of course, remember the popsicles - and ice cream sandwiches!

Though we hope to see you next week, we wish you a happy and safe holiday. No matter your plans, we hope you enjoy your Independence Day, appreciating the diversity and unity that makes our country - and community - truly great.
HEADS UP!

When traveling around the corner of Meridian Road and Queen Creek Road you've undoubtedly seen the ongoing construction zone. This will continue for the next 3-4 months, so please be cautious and alert to the changes in traffic flow, with varying lane and turn restrictions, as needed.
GRAFFITI REMOVAL

The Cistern building at our Signal Butte water feature is scheduled to resolve the graffiti issue soon. Unfortunately, due to the delicate nature of the stonework and materials, traditional graffiti removal methods could not be used to avoid etching and damaging the stone. Special stains were ordered to recolor the stones and ensure that the graffiti is no longer visible while maintaining the integrity of the structures and restoring the appearance of our community. We will let you know the progress.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to remain vigilant and report any incidents of vandalism or suspicious activities. By working together, we can help maintain the safety and beauty of our community.

FIREWORK INFORMATION FROM THE TOWN OF QUEEN CREEK

Consumer fireworks, including ground and hand-held sparkling devices, are legal to purchase and use within the Town of Queen Creek from June 24 - July 6.

Legal consumer fireworks are allowed only on private property, and a person(s) who use, discharge, or ignite permissible consumer fireworks are responsible and liable for expenses due to any emergency response required by such use, discharge or ignition per the Town Code.

Any fireworks that go into the air are illegal.

For additional information, please reference Arizona State Law related to consumer fireworks.

The United States Product Safety Commission provides the following fireworks safety tips:
  • Adults should always supervise firework activities - sparklers burn at temperatures of about 2,000 degrees — hot enough to melt some metals.
  • Never have any portion of your body directly over a firework device when lighting; move back to a safe distance immediately after lighting and only light one at a time.
  • Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not fully functioned.
  • Never point or throw fireworks at people.
  • Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy.
  • Never carry fireworks in a pocket or shoot them in metal or glass containers.
  • Douse spent fireworks with plenty of water before discarding them to prevent a trash fire.

Please be considerate of your neighbors and celebrate safely. Report the use of illegal fireworks such as bottle rockets, firecrackers, Roman candles, or other aerial devices by contacting QCPD’s Non-Emergency number at 480-358-3500.
