Summer Sizzled in Delray Beach and Santa Fe!
The Barral workshops once again heated up in the states this past July. As the temperatures rose, so did the excitement and enthusiasm with workshops filled to capacity. People came from more than a dozen different countries to soak up the summer fun and learn from the best. Jean-Pierre Barral, DO, MRO(F), RPT and Alain Croibier, DO, MRO(F) made their annual journey to the United States, which began in Delray Beach, FL, and moved on to Santa Fe, NM.

The two three-day classes taught this year were Jean-Pierre's Advanced Visceral Manipulation: Physiological and Neuroendocrine Effects of Soft Tissue Treatment & Clinical Applications (AVMHC) and Alain Croibier's New Manual Articular Approach- Lower Extremity (MALE). The tropical-themed party celebrations in both locations provided great evenings of socializing, merrymaking and dancing.

British Fascia Symposium

The British Fascia Symposium, a biannual event, is dedicated to bringing the latest knowledge and research in the fascial world to its delegates. Alison Harvey, DC, CST-D, BI-D, AK was one of six main stage speakers, along with Robert Schleip who was the keynote speaker.
Alison spoke to approximately 300 delegates on “The Fascia of the Abdominal Cavity” where she took everyone on a full ‘anatomical tour’ of the fascial connections throughout the abdomen, while sharing the research in this area and many clinically relevant details. Alison also conducted a workshop on “The Liver – How its Function Influences the Entire Body."

Following Alison’s talk, dozens of attendees stood in line at the Barral Institute UK booth to find out more about VM.

People are Talking!

Submitted by Dee Ahern, PT, BI-D:
“My body’s response to VM1’s day one work on the liver was so profound. It left me calm, yet so energized like I could conquer anything. The digestive problems I’ve struggled with for the past 10 years since traveling abroad were much improved the next morning.

The ankle I had twisted on a run three days prior, self adjusted and returned to its normal range of motion. My whole torso seemed to realign and stack into a new, more comfortable plane, allowing my core muscles to now support me more effortlessly.” If that was just day one, I can’t wait to see what’s still to come.”
