Hello and happy Friday!

Have you been to barrettbookstore.com lately? Last week, our website got a little update! You may need to reset your password if you’ve ever created an account with us, but otherwise things should function exactly the same as before. In the unlikely event you experience any hiccups with the new site, please don’t hesitate to reach out. As before, you can use our site to order books, purchase gift cards, browse our newsletter archive, and view our events calendar. A new feature of our upgraded site that’s dorkily exciting for my ultra-organized self? Color coding for in-store events versus off-site partner events.

While you’re oohing and aahing over the colors (no? just me?), make sure you click and RSVP for our upcoming events. We promise no blizzards will get in the way of our Deborah Goodrich Royce event on April 8th. If a weeknight doesn’t work for you, try attending our Sunday afternoon event featuring Deborah Levison and Greg Wands, discussing A Novel Crime. We’re also getting really excited for all of our Independent Bookstore Day fun, including two author visits - Andrew Ginsburg and Priya Parmar in conversation with Susy Hayes Jones. It’s a busy April, but before you know it, we’ll be revealing our 2026 Ladies of Summer!

I hope this weekend permits us to end our March “like a lamb”, as the saying goes.

See you soon,

Mallory
