CFIT Mini-Camps & Lottery Applications
Much applause for the dance and visual arts mini-camps at the Center for Innovative Teaching (CFIT)! Offered through the partnership with ArtsNow, the camps filled up quickly and were a hit.

Are you interested in CFIT? Lottery applications for 2019-2020 will be accepted until April 12. Since it's now open for 6th graders at Russell Middle and 6th and 7th graders at Westside Middle, meetings will be at CFIT at 6 p.m. April 2 and 4. See FAQ about CFIT .

Once Upon a Lesson
Winder Elementary 3rd Grade SCOPE students learned what it takes to buy books for their Media Center thanks to Media Specialist Mrs. Privette. She designated $1,000 from book fair profits for this project.

With the guidance of Mrs. Glasgow, the students surveyed peers about favorite genres, met with vendors for quotes, and then created and presented their proposal to Principal Stapleton. He approved!  The project taught them how to budget, research and present. Great work and happy reading!

Georgia's First Lady Enjoys Ag Day
All smiles from students and staff - along with special guests First Lady of Georgia Marty Kemp and Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black - as they enjoyed Statham Elementary School's 2nd Annual Ag Day on March 22. The fun also included "Make My Plate Georgia Grown Day" where all schools served food grown or produced in our state. Watch the fun.
