What's the one thing a guest can say or do at your bar that will really piss you off?
Anything demeaning or disrespectful to any member of my staff. Say what you want to me, but do not mess with my staff.
What other profession would you like to attempt?
I have those days I just want to go back behind the bar, but otherwise this industry has always been a fit for me, my personality and skills.
What profession would you not like to do?
High School Teacher. I have nothing but respect for teachers, and at one point I thought it was my path, but through my studies and student teaching I realized that it takes a very specific type of person to be a teacher, and I am not that type of person. Much love, much respect, but not for me.
What is your most distinguishing characteristic?
My voice
Where would you like to live?
Back in New Orleans - I now know what it means to miss a city.
Dry Shake or Reverse Dry Shake?
Reverse Dry Shake
Who are your favorite fictional heroes and/or heroines?
The first heroes that were my favorite were Han Solo and Indiana Jones. I was always more into the anti heroes.
Who are your real-life heroes and/or heroines (living or dead)?
My parents.
Who is your favorite painter?
Klimpt (I have a new appreciation by working in the Redwood Room)
Who is your favorite singer or group?
Uncle Tupelo
What quality do you most admire in a man?
What quality do you most admire in a woman?
If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be?
A palm tree. You get to hang out in beautiful weather, shade people and animals, and occasionally drop a coconut on the head of an asshole.
If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Welcome in. Your dog and your family is over there by the bar, what would you like to drink?
