Baruch Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship Program
Application due Wednesday, July 7th, 2021

The Baruch Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship Program provides financial assistance to undergraduate students who complete an unpaid summer internship in a start-up company while encouraging them to develop their professional and intercultural skills through programs offered by the Weissman Center for International Business at Baruch College.
An internship provides valuable experience and is an important stepping stone to a full-time position in a student’s chosen profession. However, internships are often unpaid, which can be a significant hurdle for students who already are stretched financially. The Baruch Entrepreneurial Intern Fellowship Program generously offers a $1,250 stipend to help students overcome the financial hurdle of an unpaid internship.

Submit the application form, personal statement, and your résumé ELECTRONICALLY to:
Justine Kharnak, Associate Director
Weissman Center for International Business

BaruchGCMC Webinar: Difficult Conversations - Career & Beyond
Wednesday, June 9th, 16th & 23rd | 12:30 – 1:30 pm

Are you avoiding uncomfortable conversations in the career process? Do you find yourself choosing to ignore issues at work rather than address them? Do you end up in lose-lose situations which leave you feeling drained and powerless? There are many reasons why we believe conversations are difficult: the stakes are high, there’s an imbalance of power, or the fear of adverse consequences is present. This can lead us to avoid/mishandle situations that desperately need to be addressed. In this 3-part webinar in the Human Approach series, we’ll work on developing skills to communicate effectively, increasing your ability to discern if a conversation is even necessary, exploring how to approach these conversations in a way that builds trust, and deconstructing why essential conversations can feel difficult in the first place.

BaruchGCMC Webinar: The Immigrant/First Generation Experience: Career & Beyond
Thursday, June 17th | 12:30 – 1:30 pm

As an immigrant or first-generation, do you feel conflicted in staying loyal to your roots and family traditions while trying to fit into American culture? If you’re facing pressure to meet family expectations, feeling like an imposter in professional spaces, questioning your identity, or struggling to find a sense of belonging, you're not alone. In this session, Tanuja Ramchal (Zicklin Graduate Career Management Center) and Teresa Liu (Baruch's Undergrad International Admissions) will facilitate a discussion to help unpack the immigrant/first-generation experience and explore mindset and practices to make authentic choices in your career and life that represent who you are.
