Basalt Chamber Member News,
Upcoming Events & What's Happening
Greetings from Boston! You know you may be a Chamber professional when...you take pictures of other Chamber's destination marketing efforts while in different airports.

2019 Discover Basalt magazine
This week we have been working on the final parts of the magazine, and it is fantastic seeing it all laid out and with an awesome cover. We can't wait for the big reveal in a few weeks.

It's like Shark Week Tank
COVENTURE will host a “Shark Tank” style pitch event at the Third Street Center on Friday. More details are below.

Shout-outs
Congratulations to Beth Hoff Blackmer (Aspen Rent-all) who is now the  president-elect for the American Rental Association (ARA), an international trade association serving the equipment and event rental industry

Happy National Volunteer We ek (April 7-13, 2019) - an opportunity to "celebrate the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities and be a force that transforms the world." We are fortunate to have 33 non-profits as Chamber members . Take a moment and see how you can help. For example - Habitat for Humanity does Build Days , and Roaring Fork Conservancy has its Fryingpan River Cleanup soon.

Monday (Marathon Monday) is my big volunteer day , so I will be taking a day off of work to give back. It's going to be awesome, even if it will be raining again this year.

Happy Highlands Closing,
-Kris

P.S. FUN FACT - Constant Contact hates plane wifi, so this was sent without a second set of eyes reading it first. I apologize if there are typos/errors.
Question of the week:
Would you be interested in participating in a Chamber Habitat for Humanity Build Day on a Friday this Summer?

Email your answers to director@basaltchamber.org.
