Colorful, shiny and evoking nostalgic memories of days gone by, the
4th Annual Motors on Midland
was, quite simply, a blast. Music filled the streets swirling around nearly 600 visitors (our very best guess), proud owners of 50 exquisitely-restored classic cars and admiring viewers. Cocina del Valle, Two Rivers Cafe and others provided food on the sidewalks and the Basalt Methodist Church sold their last mouth-watering pies.
Huge kudos and thanks go to
Amy Groom
of the
Basalt Arts and Social Happening
's committee for again seamlessly organizing and bringing to Basalt a thoroughly enjoyable event.

Congratulations to Michael Carricarte for bringing in the "Best of Show," his handsome 1962 Chevy Corvette.
As summer approaches in Basalt next year, watch for the 5th Annual Basalt's Motors on Midland. Enter your cars or just come out for the fun

Fantabulous Activities Coming Up in Basalt
|
It's been a great summer in Basalt and there's still much ahead for those who enjoy a good community gathering:
Not only does autumn herald cooler temperatures and a new season of exotic leaf peeping, but also a special pumpkin and halloween event celebrating the tradition of the mysterious pumpkins on the Frying Pan Road.
Join us for all the fun and have a beautiful day in Basalt!
