World Day of the Sick Mass

@ The Cathedral of Christ the Light

 

The Cathedral of Christ the Light will host the 16th Annual World Day of the Sick Mass featuring "Messes des Malade," created by award-winning composer Frank LaRocca. This is a very special Mass honoring Our Lady of Lourdes featuring the Cathedral's Choir conducted by Richard Sparks. 

 

The Mass will be offered for those seeking God’s grace and mercy. The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be offered to those suffering from illness.

A "Parish Family Activity" is offered for all families (and individuals) monthly on Sunday morning, to provide opportunities for socializing while experiencing some seasonal aspects of our liturgical life. No registration is required. Meets in St. Joseph Elementary School Learning Center,

10:45 to 11:45 am.

Golden Gate Boys Choir and Bellringers led by Mr. Meyer to Rome to sing for Pope Francis (2023)


Over winter break, Mr. Meyer’s Golden Gate Boys Choir and Bellringers participated in the Pueri Cantores Choral Festival in Rome, Italy. The tour included singing at various parishes in and around Rome, a private audience with Pope Francis, and singing at the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary mass on January 1st in St. Peter’s Basilica. Thank you to our Parish community for supporting our St. Joseph Elementary School boys and GGBC. Many blessings to you all this year!

Fr. Mario will offer a 30-minute reflection on a spiritual writing/Church document at 6:00 pm, followed by the Rosary at 6:30, and conclude with a fellowship at 7 pm.
