Maya,
Last week we shared a tough update and asked for your help to care for the 24 new souls now safe at WCHS, rescued from a hoarding case of 153 animals in a trailer.
This week, we are once again humbled with gratitude at the generosity and kindness of this community. Thank you so much to everyone who donated and reached out to share kind words for the animals and our staff.
Seven lucky dogs went home over the weekend, including a few of the newest arrivals.
The rest are basking in the warm sunshine, happily romping around and napping together in the fresh air, and loving their newfound freedom from the cramped space they called home for too long. As you can see from these photos, they now have smiles on their faces, pep in their steps, and so many sweet little kisses to give.
Your donations have already given some of these lucky pups new homes. The rest are on their way with your help.
They will be added to our website in the coming days, as soon as they are fully vetted and spayed/neutered. Some still need extensive dental care.
Please check the website or come visit during regular adoption hours. We continue to be extremely busy, so please do not call or email us to place holds.
Thank you so much for everything you do to help WCHS and the pets. We could not do it without you.
A reminder that any funds raised beyond our needs for this new group will go to helping other dogs and cats already here at the shelter.
