Ski + Ride Weekend

Our trip to Mt Snow is this weekend! See below for details. Friendly reminder to please wait to leave after the end of the normal school day.

Climate control updates from Bates parent Kelly Norris

Principal Jolley and Kelly Norris (Bates' AC lead) attended Wednesday's Advisory Committee meeting discussing Article 18, the AC Study. On Saturday 3/1, the Advisory pushed the vote on the article. We learned from Kelly that the delayed vote, combined with new Town Meeting members and meeting cycle coming in March/April, creates an important opportunity to share personal stories.  In-person communication is the most impactful, but if you're unable to attend meetings, you can also email your personal stories to advisorycommittee@wellesleyma.gov. Interested in AC? Unsure how to reach out? Please email Kelly.

Join Bates in Giving Back!

Cocotree Kids has a mission to protect a child’s dignity and confidence starting with their first layer: underwear. Underwear is one of the most needed but least donated items to shelters and youth-focused organizations because it needs to be new. Kids without underwear access resort to reusing soiled underwear, wearing hand-me-downs that don’t fit, or simply wear nothing at all. With your help, we can provide their first layer of support and help them feel confident and comfortable to tackle their road ahead.

DONATING IS EASY

Place new underwear for boys and girls, sizes 2T-16, in the Cocotree Kids collection box near the Bates front entrance from 3/3-3/14! You can also drop off when you come in for the Book Fair Family Night (3/5, 5:30-7:30PM)!
