BATES BLAST

We are squeezing out summer. Hope you’re reading this, sipping something fun, enjoying your LDW. (Remember, no school tomorrow!)

Giving it to you short and sweet so you can get back to memory making.

Key Updates:

  • Grade Socials: Book those sitters - we have Grade Socials on the books for Grade 2 (9/26) and Grade 5 (9/13).
  • Yearbook: Send your cute first day pictures to picsforbates@gmail.com and include classroom/grade.
  • School Spirit Store: Thanks to a teacher request we now have adult merch! Other merch suggestions, please email Susan Hurley.
  • How about those new basketball hoops?! Up next: fresh lines for the courts!
  • Please “join PTO” by donating to our Annual Appeal

Annual Appeal

What is it? Simply put, our school needs funding beyond what is provided by the district. The Annual Appeal provides everything from classroom start-up funds, to exciting author visits, new technology, busing for field trips, and support for teachers. We aim for 100% participation this year, and every contribution counts! To cover approximately 30% of our PTO budget, we suggest a donation of $75 per student. However, any amount you can give is greatly appreciated – percent participation is what counts. We will surely keep you in the loop on our progress.

See you Tuesday,

Jess + Nicole

TECH TIP

Set your pickup routine, or make that switch to carline when you need it (get yourself an extra 15 mins of childcare, maybe 30 on a rainy day). Just do it before 2pm (11am on Wednesdays). You can use it to mark an absence or early pick up too.
