Our community is amazing, I've always known that. But watching our business community come together to support one of our own this week reminds me of how truly special the Bay area is.

Our love and prayers go out to our friends at Mode’s Tavern, JR's, the tenants who lived above, and all who are affected by the fire. We are glad everyone is safe, including our wonderful public safety officers and first responders.

SEEKING PROJECT PROPOSALS FOR 2024

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking Project Proposals for the 2024 Leadership Bay County class project.

• Your proposal should explain an unmet need in the community.
• Your agency must be willing to partner with approximately 20 class participants and must provide a variety of roles for each class member to participate in the project.
• Project budget can be up to $25,000 (unless applying for a Patronicity matching grant)
• Project must be completed by June of 2024.

The LBC Class of 2024 will review and select a project in September. Submissions are due August 18, 2024.

Need a haircut and want to support a great cause? The Leadership Bay County Class of 2023 is hosting a Cut-A-Thon.

All proceeds will go to Leadership Bay County Class of 2023 in support of their project for Foster Families Navigation and Resource Center.

Time: 10am - 2pm

Where: A Spencer Gellise Salon, 1710 Third Street, Bay City
