Leadership Bay County Class of 2024

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the Leadership Bay County Class of 2024. Click HERE for more information on the program.


Applications to join Leadership Bay County are due August 18, 2024.



The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking Project Proposals for the 2024 Leadership Bay County class project.


  • Your proposal should explain an unmet need in the community.
  • Your agency must be willing to partner with approximately 20 class participants and must provide a variety of roles for each class member to participate in the project.
  • Project budget can be up to $25,000 (unless applying for a Patronicity matching grant)
  • Project must be completed by June of 2024.


Project proposals are due September 15, 2023.

Google IT Support Professional Certificate


Considering a career in IT? This training is designed for an entry level professional wishing to explore and upskill their computer knowledge and ideal for roles of IT support and computer network specialist. This course is 94 hours of training done on-line using your personal computer and may be completed in six months. It can be accessed at a time convenient for you and has guided instruction with assignments and quizzes. 


This career credential training will allow learners to complete five separate training courses including: technical support fundamentals, bits and bytes of computer networking, operating systems and becoming a power user, system administration and IT infrastructure, IT security. 


Join Delta College for an online orientation session Wednesday, May 17th from 2:00-2:45 PM for any person interested in the FREE Google IT Support Certificate. Learn how to use the online learning platform and how Google can save you up to $1,700 and earn you 14 credits toward your degree at Delta College. To register, email kmwyzkie@delta.edu.


Delta is now providing FREE face to face, faculty help to support students in the certificate program. Attend the session to learn how to kick start your career.

The 2nd Annual Foster Fest is May 20th from 1-6pm in Auburn Park.


United We Go is hosting their Grand Launching on May 20th from 4-7pm at Water Street Nutrition.


The Children’s Grief Center is holding their 3rd annual Grit Your Grief 5K fundraiser ON THE RUNWAYS AT MBS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT on Saturday, May 20. There will be a color run for kids, and many other activities for the community.



Bay Veterans Foundation will be holding our 10th Annual Golf Outing this year on June 23 at Green Hills Golf Course in Linwood. 


The Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center is excited to introduce CTE Summer Camps for students entering 5-8th grade. Each career camp is filled with fun, hands-on activities allowing you to acquire new skills and complete exciting projects in a safe educational environment.


Save the Date! National Night Out is Tuesday, August 1, from 5-8pm in Wenonah Park.
