Poem and Poetry Contest
The LGBTQ Round Table's 7th annual poem and poetry contest is now open! The theme: Through your original art and writing show that whether you use she, he, they, ze, or hir pronouns, you are part of our community, a citizen, and we accept all citizens.
The contest is open to all AUSD students in grades 4 through 12. Contestants can write a poem, design a poster, or both. Awards will be given to winners grades 4-8 and 9-12. The overall winning poster will be displayed in AUSD schools and offices.
Submissions due by 5 pm at April 30th can be delivered or emailed to Susan Davis at the AUSD District Office (sdavis@alamedaunified,org or to Gene Kahane at Books, Inc. on Park St (firstname.lastname@example.org). All entries must include: name, school, teacher, email, and phone number.
