President & CEO's Message
In economic development, the adage “if you build it, they will come” consistently applies. Businesses and employers who are seeking relocation, often look for existing facilities and developed infrastructure that will directly address their needs. Bay Future, Inc. recognizes those opportunities in our communities and knows that to secure investment we must have an adequate inventory of sites and locations to bring to market these projects.

As we have outlined in the Bay Future: Drive. Forward. strategic action plan, our team has been working diligently, collaborating with local and statewide partners, in an effort to make this a reality. We know the competitive advantages Bay County has and the opportunity that provides for businesses, but we must provide the "shovel ready" locations and sites.

In August of 2019 we announced a $100,000 grant that would support the infrastructure development of a site in Bay county. We are continuing to collaborate with partners such as the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Monitor Township officials, Monitor Township DDA officials, Bay County officials, the Bay County Road Commission, the Bay County Department of Water and Sewer, Bay City Electric Light and Power, Consumers Energy, AT&T, Spicer Group, and others, on not only the readiness of this site, but others throughout the county.

We're excited to have the opportunity to promote these sites on a larger level and to Drive capital investment in Bay County. I'm excited to share with you today a preview of this site.
