Opportunity Zones in Bay-Lake Region
The Opportunity Zone Program is designed to spur investment in economically distressed areas through the use of tax incentives.

A map of the Opportunity Zones within the Bay-Lake Region are located on our website, just zoom into the location you are looking for and the designated zone will be shown.   In addition to the investment benefits associated with Opportunity Zones, projects located within these zones meet the eligibility criteria under the Economic Development Administration program(s).   Please contact Elizabeth Runge  if you have any questions.
Commission staff have revamped the Sheboygan MPO materials on the Commission website.  This includes a story map that better explains the MPO to the public.  This information can be found on the MPO website at www.baylakerpc.org/sheboygan-mpo.

Commission staff continues to work on the Update to the Year 2045 Sheboygan Area Transportation Plan (SATP).  A story map was created for draft Chapter 7 of this plan update (Recommended Transportation Plan).  Draft Chapter 7 and its accompanying story map were presented to members of the Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees at their joint meeting in late January. Work also continues on all other remaining chapters as well as on the plan appendices.

Minor amendments to the Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area Transportation Improvement Program (TIP): Calendar Years 2019 - 2022 were recommended for approval by the MPO advisory committees and were approved by the Commission's Executive Committee in late January.  These approved amendments can be found here.

Please contact Jeff Agee-Aguayo or Brandon Robinson for additional information regarding these activities.
