BLRPC Executive Director Moving On After 10+ years working for the regional planning commission, with the last 5 years serving as the executive director, I will be leaving Northeast Wisconsin for a position in Arizona. Over the past decade, I have formed a lot of valuable friendships with many of the individuals who I have had the opportunity to work with during this time. I am truly grateful to have had the unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the region that are continuing to have a positive impact on communities and counties. As I move on to the next chapter of my life and career, I want to take this time to thank you for the past 10 years. The Commissioners will be starting the hiring process later in May to find my successor who will continue leading the organization in a positive direction for many years into the future. Best wishes to all of you and Go Pack Go!! |
WDNR Small Business Assistance In Wisconsin, small businesses play a particularly important role in the economy, accounting for more than 97 percent of all employers and providing jobs for slightly more than half of the private sector labor force. As part of the DNR's continued commitment to support small businesses in Wisconsin, the agency has expanded its Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP), which serves as a resource and partner for small businesses throughout the state. The SBEAP mission: "We are a non-regulatory program aimed at getting small businesses the information and contacts they need for all their environmental questions so they can do the right thing for the environment and their business." Details can be found on the website, calling 855-889-3021 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or via email. |
Pavement Rating Assistance Wisconsin State Statute 86.302(2) requires each municipality and county to submit surface condition ratings for all local roads under their jurisdiction to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) every two years. The next submissions to WisDOT are due by December of this year. Just as was done in 2013, Commission staff will be providing assistance to communities to meet the pavement rating requirement. A majority of these services will be free of charge to Commission members, while non-member communities will be charged time and materials. If your community would like the use the services of the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission for pavement rating assistance, please contact Brandon Robinson. |
