Bay-Lake RPC is looking to add to our team and currently have the following job openings:
Community Assistance Planner II - This is a full time Planner II position. The right candidate for this position will have a working knowledge of the principles and practices of planning; knowledge of federal and state planning programs and appropriate regulations and guidelines; strong customer service skills; experience in report preparation, grant writing, and administration; ability to conduct public presentations; ability to maintain effective professional relationships with staff, public officials, and others; and good professional judgment. The qualified candidate will be primarily working on comprehensive planning projects in the first year of this position and will be expected to attend occasional night meetings. Transportation Planner I - This is a full time Planner I position. The chosen candidate for this Planner I position will assist with the Commission's two continuous transportation planning programs: the Sheboygan Metropolitan Organization (MPO) program and the Regional Transportation Planning program. Experience and/or expertise in multiple areas of transportation planning is desired. Those areas include: development of MPO long-range transportation plans and transportation improvement programs (TIPs); travel demand forecast modeling processes; transportation/air quality conformity; transit planning; functional classification; rating of pavement conditions; development of coordinated public transit - human services transportation plans; bicycle and pedestrian planning; safe routes to school; mobility management; freight planning; and planning for airports, rail, and ports and harbors.
Planner/GIS Intern – Bay-Lake RPC is seeking a Planner/GIS Intern to assist with several long-range planning programs and projects in northeast Wisconsin. These projects will primarily be within the community assistance (e.g., comprehensive planning) and environmental planning programs. This position will work closely with local communities and Bay-Lake RPC staff members to assist with the creation of planning documents and maps for the projects listed above. Majority of the time will be spent in the office with some field work. Applications for this position are being accepted until the position is filled.
Economic Development LTE/Intern – Bay-Lake RPC is seeking an Economic Development LTE or intern to assist with a variety or economic development related projects. This position will aid with administering a grant program, as well as maintaining the grant database the Commission has created for this program. Additionally, this position will assist with data collection and analysis for various economic development plans.
