E-NEWSLETTER VOLUME 6,  ISSUE 10 / OCTOBER 2016
GLRI Phragmites Management
Project Update
Chemical treatments of Phragmites is winding down in the lower Green Bay area, and along the lower portions of the Fox and East Rivers. Treatments are complete in Allouez, Ashwaubenon, Bellevue, and De Pere; and are nearly complete in Green Bay, Howard, and Scott.

Although several rainy and windy days have limited the treatment window, we are on track to finish all treatments by the second week of October. Mowing of the treated areas will take place in late October or into the winter, and follow-up chemical treatments will occur in fall 2017 for any returning Phragmites or areas missed.

For more information, contact Angela Kowalzek-Adrians or Amy Carrozzino-Lyon

The Phragmites Information Hotline (920-430-0220) will be regularly updated with a recorded message about treatment schedule and progress.
