Hello,
An unseasonable summer has finally arrived along the Front Range. In the Bayaud tradition, we have adapted and grown our innovative community employment-related programing. Since January, Bayaud has started two new pilot employment programs and has expanded our supportive housing services.
A great example is DayWorks, which partners with cities and counties to provide adults experiencing homelessness with transitional work experience of same day pay while searching for permanent job placements. One new pilot is with the City of Lakewood and the second is at Denver International Airport that is engaging individuals exiting Colorado’s justice system. Check out our link below to a recent feature on CBS4 Colorado News Channel about this successful program.
Other exciting news comes from Nebraska! Our hardworking crew in North Platte, who work on a federal contract with the U.S. General Services Administration, was recognized by the Goodwill Foundation of Nebraska naming Bayaud as its “Employer of the Year.” And, on a personal note, I was named a Colorado Titan 100 for 2023. This program recognizes CEOs and C-level executives who are accomplished business leaders in their industry.
Please check out Bayaud’s new website that features our varied programs and services. See more details about the work we do and read success stories of some of our participants who work hard to reach self-sufficiency. See below for more.
Lastly, get your tickets today for our Lakewood Food and Wine festival to be held on September 9, from 1PM to 5PM, at Belmar Plaza in Lakewood. Join us in the fun and help raise funds to support our innovative employment programming offering hope, opportunity and choice to adults with hurdles to employment.
Thank you for your continued support.
