The Bayfield Fourth of July Fireworks are funded entirely through the generosity of community members, visitors and local businesses. No city, county or taxpayer dollars are used to produce the show.

A huge thank-you to everyone who donated or purchased a 50/50 raffle ticket to support the 2026 fireworks.

We are especially grateful to Apostle Islands Cruises and Apostle Islands Kayaking Express for contributing the final $1,246 needed to fully fund this year’s celebration!

All donations received from this point forward will support the 2027 fireworks show.

Without a committee, the Chamber will not be able to organize the fireworks for 2027.

The Bayfield Chamber & Visitor Bureau is now forming a hands-on Fireworks Committee to ensure this cherished community celebration continues for future generations.

Committee members will work together to develop fundraising ideas, seek community support, and help raise the funds needed to make the 2027 fireworks a reality.

This weekend Susan McDonald is featuring her botanical paintings in watercolor to entice you to join us. She will be showing her hand painted watercolors as well as inexpensive reproductions and drawings of her work. They are colorful and joyful. If you have questions, ask Susan about local wild plants and animals. She has been working to paint Wisconsin wild orchids, which are very different from the tropical orchids we find in big city grocery stores.

You are welcome to walk a short trail along the lake from her studio, linger on our public beaches or paddle the Bark Bay Slough.
