The Burlingame Community Garden, founded in 2013, and is a wonderful opportunity for the local community members to pursue their passion for gardening. Recently, several garden beds became available to rent. The spaces are first come, first serve, so please reach out if you are interested.

Don't let the Broadway interchange construction keep you away - the businesses on the City's Bayfront are open! The renovation of the Broadway overpass is estimated to continue into summer 2017. During these last few months of construction, our Bayshore Highway businesses could really use your help.  Please come on down and enjoy the wonderful hotels, restaurants, and services offered right along the Bay! winnersMeet Our Green Business Award Winners
Congratulations Que SeRaw SeRaw and Putnam Automotive

The City's Green Business Award winners are going above and beyond to conserve resources and are saving money in the process.
 
Que SeRaw SeRaw is a unique local take-out eatery off Broadway that serves raw vegan food made from local and organic ingredients. Their mission is to provide delicious food that has a low environmental impact. They also compost all food scraps, exclusively use recyclable or compostable packaging, and enrolled in Peninsula Clean Energy ECO100 to receive 100% renewable energy.
 
Putnam Automotive is the City's renowned dealership along California Drive. Putnam worked with San Mateo County Energy Watch to upgrade the outdoor lighting to LED lights in all their facilities, including the Mazda/Subaru, Nissan, Volvo, Toyota, Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge, GM, Fiat dealerships. They received $47,000 in rebates and are saving $5,000/month in electricity bills - a 30% drop. Putnam also recycles close to 95% of their waste and is exploring using tablets in their service shops to eliminate paper use.

Breathe California Golden Gate's Clear the Air Film Fest is an amazing opportunity for youth to gain experience, make a difference in the community, and win up to $1,000 in cash prizes! This video contest is a fun and easy way to raise awareness about clean air and lung health! Short film and PSA submissions are now being accepted through January 30, 2017. Royal Dance
Calling all Princesses and Princes (Ages 5-11)

Once Upon A Time, in the City of Burlingame, there was a Royal Dance event and all were invited! Get dressed in your best outfit and prepare to dance the night away with your date. Princesses and Princes (ages 5-11) may ask anyone (over 18 years old) to accompany them as their evening companion. A great feast will be provided along with a royal Master of Ceremony and DJ as well as a photo booth! Chaperons with multiple young royals can purchase additional, discounted tickets, if needed!
