Bayless Return to Instruction Framework 7.20.20

Dear Bayless School District Community,

I think it is very safe to say that when the Spring Semester concluded in May, everyone in our school community had hopes of returning to some sense of "normalcy" this Fall Semester.  Unfortunately, due to the continuing spread of COVID-19, it does not appear things will be back to normal anytime soon...

This is what we know:

We have not yet determined what form of instruction will be used on August 24, or if instruction will now begin on that date.  On Thursday, St. Louis County Health recommended that schools not yet make definitive statements as to what instruction will look like when the Fall Semester begins.  St. Louis County Executive Sam Page recommended that Districts be prepared to offer full virtual instruction and to be cautious in setting a firm date to resume in-person instruction. BSD is following both of these suggestions.

If you have questions, please reach out to your child's school principal.  They will be in contact with you soon to provide further details on how instruction will resume this fall.

We thank our Bayless school community for its continued support and partnership in our effort to beat this pandemic together.

Sincerely,

Ronald J. Tucker
