Bayshore Park Project Update

Project Update

The City’s Bayshore Park contractor will be performing water main connections tomorrow, September 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. on September 19. Work will take place near the park’s northeast corner, along 28 Street between Fairgreen Drive and Sheridan Avenue. Please know that although construction begins at 6:30 p.m., water service will not be interrupted until 8 p.m.


This work will affect the roadway adjacent to the project site and will result in a temporary water service interruption to select properties in the surrounding neighborhood. The affected residents have already been notified of the upcoming work.


Timeline  

The water outage is expected to last through the night, beginning Thursday, September 18 at 8 p.m. and ending on Friday, September 19 at 7 a.m. Please note that this schedule may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.


What to Expect

  • Construction crews will be present within the designated work zone.
  • Traffic control personnel (flaggers) will be positioned along 28 Street between Fairgreen Drive and Sheridan Avenue to guide vehicles safely through the area.
  • Select properties will experience temporary water service interruptions during the scheduled water main connection work.
  • Residents should anticipate overnight construction noise as crews carry out the necessary operations.
  • Please follow all posted signage and instructions from construction personnel when traversing through this area.
