Icy Wonders at the Harbin Ice Festival

Step into a kingdom of ice and snow, where nature's gifts for the season are spun into an elegance of artistic craft!

The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is set to open its doors to the public from December 25, 2023 to January 31, 2024. Visitors can enjoy a real Winter Wonderland as they marvel through exhibitions of ice sculptures and towering ice castles, participate in winter sports competitions, discover art film festivals and photography exhibitions, and even witness ice weddings!

Ice and snow sculptures and winter activities are dotted throughout various locations in Harbin City. Built on the northern bank of the Songhua River is the Ice and Snow World. Covering over 750,000 square meters of space, this Winter Disneyland features massive ice sculptures and stunningly illuminated ice towers and buildings, making visitors feel like they've stepped into a dream. The Sun Island is a snow sculpture amusement park, which features a different cultural theme and country each year, showcasing the work of artists from all around the world. The Zhaolin Park hosts an Ice Lantern Show, a celebration of the humble ice lantern, traditionally used to guide fishermen by the Songhua River at night, which has now become a form of art for the city.

Since its inception in 1963, the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival has evolved into a world-class celebration of winter artistry, drawing millions of visitors who are eager to experience a breathtaking icy wonderland through the beauty of frosty masterpieces.

Visa-free entry for 6 additional countries!

China has extended its visa-free policy to travelers with passports from 6 additional countries: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia.

This regulation is valid until 30 November 2024, and is applicable for ordinary passport holders of the above-mentioned countries who want to visit China and stay for up to 15 days.
