As we head into the fall season, our calendar at Shawnee Forward is packed with exciting events and opportunities! We’ve added several new programs, and it’s been a joy to celebrate with so many of our local businesses during their milestones. We’re also hard at work preparing for the upcoming State of the City, where we’ll hear from our new mayor and city manager as they recall our year's progress and look ahead at Shawnee’s future. There’s so much to be excited about, and we’re pleased to continue bringing meaningful events and initiatives to our community. The Pathways to Profession Program is a comprehensive workforce development initiative designed to connect parents, students, educators, and employers. The program aims to showcase career opportunities that exist in our community in manufacturing and other sectors. Pathways to Professions bridges the gap between education and industry to prepare the workforce of tomorrow.

There are a variety of ways businesses can support this program. Opportunities exist for every business to participate in the Pathways to Professions program.
