Dear Friends,
It’s Be Kind to Animals Week at Stepping Stones and we’re celebrating the unique bond between people and the animals in our lives. Animals of all kinds – birds, bunnies, cats, dogs, fish, frogs, hamsters, horses, pigs, turtles and so many more – are super fun to be around. They make us smile, laugh and play; they help reduce stress and bring us comfort. Animals can be very entertaining and really good companions.
The STEAM Team is returning the favor this week by hosting a Be Kind to Animals party with fun takeaways including animal care and feeding tips and a Pet Quiz to learn what it takes to be the best pet owner. We’re featuring opportunities to connect with real animals each day too.
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, 2020 and we’re giving a shout out to all of the incredible women in our lives. Don’t forget to tell her how amazing she is and show her how much you love her with a Best Mom Ever medal or another tribute on this special day and every day!
We're also proud to announce a new virtual content partnership between the museum and the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra. For the next five weeks, the Symphony will be providing engaging video content about music and instruments, and we will complement their content with a fun home extension activity related to each week's video!
Share family photos and video of your Be Kind to Animals Week playful learning experiences with us by posting them on Facebook or Instagram with #mysteppingstones.
With kindness,
The Stepping Stones STEAM Team
