The following is Part 1 of a Praise Report from Jacqui Ingram (a movie producer):
“Thanksgiving time 2019, I was in the middle of my third round of chemo. It was a particularly dark time as I was sooooo devasted, angry and sad that I was going to have to go through another round of chemotherapy!

On March 15, 2019, I was diagnosed with Stage 3, Triple Negative Breast Cancer. That was life-changing news. My family rallied behind me. The doctor gave us the treatment plan and prepared us for the side effects of the chemotherapy drugs. Everything happened exactly as he said it would. The timing of my second round lined up with my filming schedule. Every Friday, for the last 7 weeks of round 2 of chemo, I would go to chemo, go home, sleep off the Benadryl, then go to set. The last day of round 2 lined up with the last day of filming and it felt amazing! The day came, I was so happy. I celebrated with the few people on set that were aware, and it was just a great day! The next step was to have a mammogram and ultrasound and discuss next steps with the doctor.
Following all of the tests, I sat in the doctor’s office expecting to hear news about the upcoming surgery and how the tumor had shrunk and things were moving along as planned. Nope. That wasn’t the case at all. The doctor explained that the tumor had only shrunk a couple centimeters and was still pretty big. My options were a mastectomy or a third round of chemo to try and shrink the tumor more. The doctor also stated that I was going to need another round of chemo no matter what, so my decision was if I wanted the chemo before or after surgery.”
