This story will truly be one for the books. The reporter randomly reached out and requested an interview. She was on a tight deadline so she requested to speak 15-minutes after I responded to her email. We spoke for almost 30-minutes, but I didn't realize the entire article would be about me. She reached out for more photos and I started to think that maybe this would be a comprehensive article about nurses.
And then she emailed me about two weeks later saying thank you and letting me know it was live. I cried for about 8 hours on and off because I could not believe it. She put the best parts of me in the article and I love that for my community. We are dynamic.
The first 48 hours after the article was published was busy and a lot of people reached out for help. I pushed people towards my e-book, website, digital products, and LinkedIn article that discussed my journey. I put boundaries in place to ensure that I did not drown in my DMs and focused on using the momentum to get issues that I wanted to be heard into the universe.
This was all a lesson on staying ready so that you don't have to get ready. I was ready.
