I have and have had the Joy and Privilege of singing and playing my beloved guitar for a small Church here in McDonough, GA. for several months now.
In a surprise move, the wonderful Pastor informed me late last Sunday morning that he would not be able to minister and asked me to fill in for him!!

I did FILL IN and the service took an unusual twist!!
We gathered together in a small circle and opened the floor up for PRAYER and input from all gathered there.
In humor, a well respected friend and man of maturity jokingly asked me, “Pastor Doug,
“WHERE DID YOU LOSE CONTROL??????????????????????”
Now, beloved, what he said in jest I HEARD from God!!!!
“WHERE DID YOU LOSE CONTROL??????????????????????”
The next question that needs to be asked AND answered is WHO is in control-not only of our gatherings but our daily lives???????????????????

I remember a music minister friend of mine, years ago, flew up to THE BROOKLYN TABERNACLE in New York city to participate and learn from that great Church and fabulous music ministry.
Their choir and music was renowned world-wide and professionally distributed in printed scores and recordings-I purchased many scores of their original music and perfromed it with my choir and orchestra.
The truth is that NONE of their musicians and singers could read these printed scores as NONE of them were “professionally” trained in music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The music director was the wife of Jim Cimbala, the Pastor.
My friend was on stage with this massive choir and musicians and overheard Pastor Cimbala ask his wife “what are you singing today?”
Her honest reply was, “I HAVE NO CLUE!!!”
This incredibly anointed and talented choir had walked on stage with no human plan or structure! Could it possibly be THEY “were walking IN THE SPIRIT?????”
“WHERE DID YOU LOSE CONTROL??????”
Just a thought-do you realize that many, if not most, of the recorded sermons recored in the Book of Acts were SPONTANEOUS!!!
The Apostle were acting out Jesus Words:

TODAY, may our PRAYER be for MORE of Him (Jesus) and less of ourselves!!
