NJ State Law Requires New Flood Disclosure Forms to be Used in 2024

On December 21st, the state of New Jersey unveiled new tools and required property disclosure forms to provide homebuyers with critical information to protect themselves from flood damage. Sellers will be required to use new forms beginning March 20, 2024. Click here to gain access to the new tools and disclosure forms.

These measures are part of the New Jersey Flood Risk Notification Law that was enacted last July. The law requires landlords and sellers of real estate property to make certain disclosures concerning known and potential flood risks as a result of climate change. Read the full text of the law.
