Please direct any questions to LINDSEY PEEL.
New member classes will be Sunday, July 10 & 17, with an official joining and welcome on July 23 or 24 (at your preferred service time). Classes will be at 10:45a (location TBD) and there will be a reception with cake and coffee after worship on July 24th. If you have interest feel free to complete a Welcome Card and drop it in the offering plate. Other questions? Email KERRY.
PARKER'S 4th OF JULY CELEBRATION
We have partnered with Parker for several years and have had great success with the event. We need 30-60 volunteers to run carnival games and have a front-row seat to the show! This is a great family opportunity for kids 14+. This will be great fun and an incredible opportunity to get JOY’s name out in the community. Please consider helping and click HERE.
GIFTS FOR GRADS
Let's keep spoiling those seniors! We are leaving the baskets out for a few more weeks to help fill them up! Since there are so many graduates, and it can get costly, we encourage you to team up with another person or family to help fill those baskets with simple, yet meaningful things. Get creative and share the load. What a joy to have so many kids to love and send onto the next phase of their lives with good stuff.
Calling all VBS volunteers!
We have an orientation to help get the team acclimated and excited about the event! Please plan to attend our orientation on Sunday, 6/26, immediately following worship in the fellowship hall! We’ll have a quick chat about the schedule, expectations and next steps!
VBS SUPPLIES
It’s almost time for VBS and this year we have an amazing theme: Food Truck Party! We’ve got a hefty supply list and could really use your support to ensure all 80 kids have a memorable experience! Please bring all contributions to the Donation Station in the church narthex no later than July 4th. Coordinator, Brianna Zenk, will update the list each week until all items have been fulfilled! Thanks a million for your help! See the supply list HERE.
O Give Thanks to the Lord!
Joy’s Favorite Bible Verses in Psalms
Thank you to everyone who shared a favorite Bible verse with the Evangelism Committee! We were thrilled to receive your responses.
The book of the Bible with the most favorite verses is Psalms. Gratitude, prayers, songs, praise, liturgies, wisdom, faith, strength, instruction, God’s love, guidance, and more are found in Psalms. It’s a great book to read and share. “O give thanks to the Lord; call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples.” Psalm 105:1 encourages us to share God’s amazing love and works with others. (That’s evangelism!). Read Joy’s favorite Psalms verses HERE. Be on the lookout for more favorite verses in the future. If you missed sharing your favorite Bible verse, write the verse on a piece of paper and place it in the offering plate by July 10.  -The Evangelism Committee
RECIPES AND RESERVATIONS
Have you submitted your recipes yet? We want to include as many families as possible for the JOY anniversary cookbook. Submit your favorites by filling out this FORM and dropping it off at the Women of Joy table in the fellowship hall, or emailing your recipe(s) to Mardee Brosh. The deadline to submit recipes is July 3.

To pre-order cookbooks, click HERE or add your name to the list on the narthex bulletin board.
Mow, Team, Mow!
The next JOY mow days are Saturdays July 9th and 23rd, beginning at 8:30a. You may use the church equipment or bring your own from home. Thanks for lending a hand. Please direct questions to Gary Block.
Christmas
returns to JOY!
We will be sending Christmas cards to local first responders this coming holiday season. Help out by signing a card or extending well wishes, on the cards in our fellowship area. Look for further instructions on the table where you find the Santa bucket! The goal is to have numerous signatures on each card.
The Joy 50th Anniversary Talent Show
Wants YOU!
Calling all performers! We are looking for talented folks ages 5 and up to share your gifts with our congregation as part of our 50th Anniversary Talent Show on Thursday, August 18th, at 6:30pm. All types of acts are encouraged, such as dancing, juggling, magic, singing, poetry reading, playing instruments, tasteful comedy, gymnastics, skits, ballet, karate, etc. As long as it is family friendly, appropriate, safe, and will be enjoyed by an audience, it’s exactly what we’re looking for! We’re also in need of a host or pair of hosts to keep the show moving and the audience entertained.

Detailed information and entry forms for performers and hosts will be available in the narthex near the Donation Station, beginning June 25th. No audition will be necessary, but all acts will need to sign up for a performance preview with Linda, to be completed by July 15th. She needs to see your act so she can best plan the flow of the show, and also confirm all sound needs, props, etcetera. For more information contact LINDA HOLCOMBE, Director of Music Ministry; 303-841-3503.
ONLINE SUMMER SERVICES - If you wish to watch the live version of Sunday worship it now streams at 9:30a. If you prefer a recorded version of Sunday's worship, you will find it available on the website at approximately 11:00a (about 30 minutes after it concludes).

Our focus this year is on making genuine connections. Save the date for Saturday, September 17, from 9-2. We are also looking for some volunteers to help make this event meaningful to all our members! Contact AK MILLER if you are interested.

CONTACTING PASTORS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS - In the coming months both Pastor Rod and Pastor Ryan have some time away scheduled, as do other staff members. If you have an urgent need for pastoral assistance, we ask that you kindly call the church office rather than a pastor's phone. The office staff will be monitoring phone messages seven days a week and will alert the appropriate on-duty pastor. As always, you may reach the office at 303-841-3739.

PURELY SOCIAL - Join us for our Monday, July 25th, road trip to Rambler Ranch, located in nearby Elizabeth. Our group will receive a guided tour of this fascinating auto showcase. (Ladies, they have more than just cars. Check their website to view pictures of their collection). Admission is $20/per person, payable at the door. Since Rambler Ranch is opening on a special day just for us, we need to know the number of interested foks no later than July 10th; please sign up on the list at Sign-up Central in the narthex or contact the church office. Lunch, departure time, and carpool details will be available soon. Contact Gwen Wilhelm with any questions.
