Study Affirms Health Care Center Value

A new analysis determined that communities with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) like Zufall Health had 200 fewer cases of COVID infection and nine fewer deaths per 100,000 people than in areas without FQHCs. Since early 2020, Zufall has been one of the few health care practices in NJ to remain open for in-person visits, even at the height of the pandemic. Zufall has administered more than 40,000 COVID tests since March 2020 and over 33,000 COVID vaccinations since December 2020, and has prioritized making these services accessible to people and communities who have been disproportionately affected by the crisis.
