Activate CA Notify
on Your Phone

CA Notify is a free service that allows you to find out if you were exposed to COVID-19.

You can also notify others if you test positive, while remaining anonymous. Your personal information is never collected, so you and those around you can stay safe. Activation is easy, visit website for more info.
UHS Fall 2021 - Hours of Operation
UHS Fall Hours of Operation have now started! We are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. UHS Weekend Services (Urgent Care, Pharmacy, and Lab) are open from 10 am - 4 pm. Upcoming closure date: Monday, September 6 - Academic and Administrative Holiday (Labor Day).


Berkeley SHIP 2021-22 Benefits and Updates
The SHIP 2021-22 Coverage periods are Fall 2021: August 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021, and Spring 2022: January 1, 2022 - July 31, 2022.

Please note the benefit changes for 2021-22:  
  • Deductible: $450 for individuals; $1,350 for families 
  • Covered medical expenses incurred for the treatment of hypertension, diabetes, and pre/cervical cancer with network providers are not subject to the deductible, copay, or coinsurance. Note: prescription drugs are not included in this new benefit. See the benefit summary for prescription co-pays.
  • Travel assistance benefits are provided through Academic Emergency Services. See this handout for more details.

Get Your Over-the-Counter Products at the UHS Pharmacy
The UHS Pharmacy carries a variety of over-the-counter medications, contraceptives, and general products at discounted prices for UC Berkeley students with no prescription required. Here's a list of sample products:

  • Antihistamines: Loratadine (Claritin) Tabs 10mg
  • Sore Throat: Halls - Honey Lemon
  • Contraceptives: Trojan ENZ, Lubricated
  • Testing Supplies: Oraquick In-Home HIV Test
  • Pain Relievers: Acetaminophen (Tylenol) Tabs 325mg
  • Vitamins: Women’s Daily Vitamin
  • Miscellaneous: Blistex Lip Balm, Purell Hand Sanitizer, etc.

Make a Positive Impact on Campus Health with SHAC!
Interested in student health? Do you want to voice the health issues of your communities?

University Health Services is looking for both undergraduate and graduate / professional students to join the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC). SHAC fosters an organized dialogue among students, communities, and the UHS Assistant Vice Chancellor and senior managers about student health and well-being needs. Members consult and provide feedback on accessibility, health care programs and services, and emerging student needs.

The SHAC application period is due no later than Thursday, September 10, 2021. Questions? Contact SHAC student coordinator at shac@berkeley.edu.

Apply to become a UHS Health Worker (at Stern, New Sequoia, and CKC)!

The Health Worker Program at UHS is looking for three new health workers. The applicants must live at either Stern, New Sequoia, or Clark Kerr Campus. Health Workers are student peer educators who serve in the residence halls, fraternities, and sororities to provide health education services on-site. Time commitment is 8 hours a week and health workers receive 2 P/NP Group Study Units PH197.
