Remember to check your Health Opportunity Fund (HOF) balance online through the Cal 1 Card office website. Funds need to be used at UHS by Friday, May 13, 2022.

Jan 15 - 16: UHS Urgent Care - First weekend open. Saturday in-person hours from 10 am - 4 pm. Sunday closed to in-person, telehealth appointments only.

Limited Medical Appointments
Due to staffing shortages and the current focus on COVID, we currently have a limited amount of medical appointments available at UHS. This is temporary: we are working to improve access to our services, and expect to resolve this soon.
We are currently prioritizing care for those with timely medical needs including:
- recent injuries requiring a clinical exam, X-ray, splinting, or crutches
- acute or worsening illnesses
- any care requiring prescription medication
- COVID-related care
- those that need to establish medical care for ongoing health issues

UC Booster Shot Requirement - Due Jan. 18 |
|
Under UC policy, UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students are required to obtain a booster shot as soon as they are eligible. Our campus expects all faculty, staff, and students who are eligible to get their booster no later than the start of instruction on Jan. 18 (or by the first day you are on campus if you will be on campus before Jan. 18). Please review the instructions for how to update your vaccination record in eTang with your booster information.

The Spring 2022 SHIP Waiver Period Ends on Friday, January 15!
What is SHIP? The Berkeley Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is an affordable platinum healthcare plan that covers medical, dental, and vision. You’re covered whether you’re on campus or off campus.
Who is eligible to waive?
- Students who had SHIP during the fall semester and wish to waive. If you waived in the fall, you do NOT need to waive again.
- Spring Admits.
Waiver Periods & Deadline
- Waiver Period without a Fee: Dec 1, 2021 - Jan 1, 2022.
- Waiver Period with a $75 Fee: Jan 2, 2022 - Jan 15, 2022
- Waiver applications will not be accepted after Jan 15, 2022.

What is the Wellness Fund?
The Wellness Fund was established to fund projects that promote a culture of wellness on campus.
How do I apply?
Visit wellnessfund.berkeley.edu to learn all about the application process or attend the proposal workshop on Thursday, Jan. 13.
When are applications due?
Applications close on Friday, January 21, 2022. Successful applicants will be notified in May 2022. Funding will be allocated in July 2022.
