Cooking Challenge - Win a $75 gift card!

Calling all UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty: The UHS Nutrition team has partnered with the Basic Needs Center to host a cooking challenge in support of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.


We are looking for your best student-friendly recipes. Multiple winners will be chosen and receive a $75 gift cardSubmit your recipe by Monday, November 14. The winner will be announced on Friday, November 18.

Immunizations Available at UHS

Daily Walk-in Flu Shots at UHS: If you find yourself at UHS for an appointment or a pharmacy pick-up, etc., you can stop by the Lobby and get a flu shot, no appointment is needed. Flu shots are free for students with SHIP, and $40 for those without SHIP (the Cashier can provide you with a receipt for submitting to your insurance for reimbursement). Additionally, we have a few remaining flu shot clinic dates (Drop-in clinic hours 9-11:30 am and 1-4 pm) on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, and Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022. More info >


Daily COVID Booster Appointments: Students can now book a COVID booster shot for any day in November. Book an appointment on eTang. Appointments will open a week ahead of time, so check back frequently. Free for all UC Berkeley students regardless of insurance. More info >


Free Mpox Vaccines by Appointment: Mpox vaccine appointments are available on Wednesdays during the month of November. Mpox vaccines are free and appointments can be booked on eTang. More info >

UHS Resource Spotlight: Transgender Care

Did you know? UHS has an interdisciplinary transgender care team that includes primary care providers, mental health clinicians, a care manager, a psychiatrist, an insurance specialist, and medical assistant support staff. The team's goal is to ensure trans and gender non-conforming students receive the highest quality care in a supportive, respectful space. Key services include appropriate cancer screening, STD screening, hormone therapy, and coordination of care and outside referrals.

Mental Health and Wellness Series for Native Students

Join UHS Mental Health Senior Clinician Raquel Castellanos Miller, LCSW for a Mental Health and Wellness Series made especially for Native students at UC Berkeley. This informational mental health series combines roundtable discussions, handouts, information, and time for Q&A. Events are from 11 am to 12 pm on Thursdays at the Native Community Center in Anthony Hall. Free regardless of insurance!
