BE YE THANKFUL!!! 10/23/22
Habakkuk 3:17-19 (KJV)
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
This may be OLD/ THIS IS TRITE/ I WELL KNOW we need not hear or heed this anymore...........................................but........................................
I WAS DISCOURAGED AND DEPRESSED BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE ANY SHOES.............................
UNTIL I MET SOMEONE WHO HAD NO FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LIFE can and too easily and too often DOES beat US down!!!
WE find ourselves drowning in misery and defeat-NO WAY OUT-humanly speaking.
Try as we may to NOT “COMPARE OURSELVES”
2 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)
12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
There are three KINDS OF PEOPLE in this LIFE:
1)-People who are “fixin” to jump in the Jordan river..................
2)-People who are IN the Jordan River.
3)People who successfully traversed the Jordan River-DID I MENTION THEY SUCCESSLY CROSSED THAT JORDAN RIVER ALIVE AND WELL!!??
Which person are YOU?????????????????????
Are you the first kind of person? That person dipping his or her toe in the mighty Jordan River-SCARED TO DEATH of its raging current of water, wondering HOW am I gonna survive the perilous journey to the WONDERFUL “other side????”
Or perhaps you find yourself person number 2.
That person has SOMEHOW entered the mighty flood waters of the Jordan River-maybe somebody or something had made them jump in the river??????
Life happened, ready or not, and they or you are in the fight of their/your life.....
Then there is the THIRD person-that one who SUCCESSFULLY made it!!!!!!!!!
I'm talkin' REAL life here today-not some sermon from the one on “the OTHER SIDE!”
Proverbs 25:20 (KJV)
20 As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
How easy it is to PREACH “songs to an heavy heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
As I lay in bed in WEARY HEART with little Amanda the other night she calmed enough to have a “conversation” with me.
I am crawled in bed with her in desperation-hoping/PRAYING I could perhaps soothe her soul.
Perhaps you “feel” me today?? Perhaps you have one or more “little Amanda's” in YOUR life-
You know, people who YOU have laid your life down for but they NEVER seem to thank or appreciate you-no comment needed!!!
I talked to her on how bad it COULD BE-trust me, brethren-IT CAN AND COULD BE WORSE than what we or they are experiencing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS is precisely how we ought to be!! No matter what condition we find ourselves in, we could “have no feet!!!”
BUT we should NEVER be the one who succeeded in crossing the Jordan River and then not hurt for those who have not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beloved, no matter how many times we are HEALED there will be that one time when WE are not (of course we hope/PRAY to be caught up in the air with Jesus)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
TODAY, as we traverse THIS life, BE YE THANKFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I well know it does not ease any burden YOU are hurting under today, but.............
BE YE THANKFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT COULD BE WORSE!!!!
