November 2020
Dear GardenShare Friends,
Each one of us has been deeply affected by the COVID-19 crisis. During one of the most challenging years any of us can remember, GardenShare has continued to work hard to ensure food security for all St. Lawrence County residents, and we need your help to do that now more than ever.
Through this time of uncertainty and challenge, our community has shown great resilience and support for one another. There have been heroic efforts made to support those among us whose livelihoods or health have been impacted by the pandemic… and yet, we know that the work is far from over.
Farmers have continued to grow delicious, nutritious food. Farmers markets have thrived through this season. Food pantries and cupboards have risen to the occasion. Despite this work, we know that we still have neighbors going hungry. For that reason, GardenShare’s work continues.
You can help by making a gift of $100 to support GardenShare’s programs, which in turn can ensure that all residents of St. Lawrence County can access good, healthy, locally harvested or produced foods. With your help, GardenShare can continue to support our vibrant local food system while supporting equitable access to food for our county’s most vulnerable residents.
“I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.”
– Maya Angelou
