At the Invention Convention, problem solving is our superpower!
What judges say about their experience:
  • It gave me an opportunity to support something good and inspire youth.
  • Everything! Being able to support, encourage, and develop young minds! I’m a teacher and I LOVE all of this!
  • Helping shape the kids futures.
  • It is fascinating to see what ideas kids have and be able to really hear the details behind their inventions.
  • Seeing smart, entrepreneurial young people.
  • The kids are inspiring.
  • It was great to see kids express their interest in problem solving and making a difference in their world. This was a rewarding day for me! Thanks for the opportunity.

NEW TO INVENTION CONVENTION?

K - 12 Students throughout Ohio activate their STEAMED skills & powers of curiosity, imagination, critical & creative thinking, determination, confidence & perseverance to become problem-solving inventors.
Invention Convention enables students to learn the skill of problem identification by encouraging them to look at the world around them and how they might improve it. This level of direct, personal engagement helps students to persevere through the Invention process as they translate real-world problems into real-world solutions. Their effort culminates in the opportunity to develop confidence and presentation skills—just as they would in an actual work environment through participating in an Invention Convention virtual event where they pitch their invention to judges comprised of educators, local business leaders, legislators, etc. Participation encourages students to consider STEAM-related careers, like those found at your company.
