"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."

- Sir Winston Churchill

Like most industries, the real estate market came to a screeching halt in April, effectively canceling our historically active spring selling season. May statistics, however, reveal a different story: An upward trajectory that bodes well for the future. Here is what we know...

Marin Market Statistics
May '20

  • After an abysmal April, May rebounded with a dramatic increase in pending deals (+155%), listings (+ 52%), and sold properties (+35%).

  • Home values in Marin held steady with an average of $843/Sq.Ft. The town of Ross is the most expensive at $1,247/Sq.Ft.; Novato the most affordable at $462/Sq.Ft. To learn where your town ranks, click here: Ranking Towns of Marin

  • While sales figures are up month-over-month, year-to-date May figures remain markedly below 2019:

  • BUYER BONUS:  A qualified buyer is presently able to buy more house for less money than ever before due to historically low interest rates,

Overall, May’s upward trajectory reflects a collective desire for agents, buyers, sellers and support services to carefully begin to conduct business within our new Covid-19 environment.

Contact me if you, or someone you may know, is interested in making a move. I am delighted to provide them with the same exceptional care and service that I give to you!

Stay safe and healthy my friends!
XOXO

When purchasing real estate, be sure to work with an Agent to represent and protect your interests during one of the largest purchases you may ever make. Commission is paid by the Seller, inherently structured and agreed to in the listing contract set forth between the Seller and the Seller's representative, the listing agent.
