CLUB & CAMPUS ACTIVITIES

Hi Creekside Community!

I wanted to share information about the 3 rd Annual Christmas Toy Drive honoring our daughter, Ellie. Ellie passed away last year at the start of the school year due to rejection of her transplanted heart. We have always wanted to support the ICU she spent her first 8 months of life on, but after she passed away our passion to support the children in the ICU grew even more. One way we now honor Ellie’s life is through the gift giving. Last year we were able to bring an entire Uhaul truck full of toys and other items to Gainesville for the heart warriors in the Pediatric ICU! I would love to be able to do that again, as Ellie’s Christmas Toy Drive is now the only organization providing gifts for the children for the heart kiddos at Shands. Without all of your help last year, it truly would not have been possible.

If you would like to donate, your student is always welcome to bring toys to my classroom, Portable 11. Donation may be dropped off in the front office with a note stating Ellie's Toy Drive - Mrs. Hanson. If you have a club or event you would like involve in the toy drive, that would be great and I would be happy to help in any way I can. Please note the drive will run through December 13th, toys will be delivered Dec 14th.

Thank you for your support,
Mrs. Hanson
Hugs Across the County would like to say thank you to everyone who donated new socks and undies to the Socktober drive.
Thank you for your generosity!

Creekside is also a donation drop-off location for No More Hungry Holidays! There are donation bins located outside the front office. Your food donations will help the Hugs club prepare bags of food for St. Johns County youth who need food over the winter break. Last year, we prepared more than 600 bags to support local youth. Thanks in advance!

IN THE KNOW
Did you know

Creekside Guidance is working hard to keep our students "In the Know". In addition to attending all the great programs our school counselors are providing before/after school or during lunch, your student should know they can go see their counselor any time during the school day. Let your student's school counselor be the "go-to" person in your student's high school career. They are a wealth of knowledge and extremely supportive of their students.

Now, you are IN THE KNOW!
