Lynda Kelly, with Kathy Sinardi assisting, established the Creekside’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America in the fall of 2013. With 225 members last year, 128 members participated in the District 27 Competition, where 82 members qualified for the State Competition. 50 of the 82 members competed at State in Orlando, where 19 members placed in the Top 5 at the State level. FBLA has over 60 competitive and skills events from the areas of technology, public speaking, communication, business, finance, and management. More than 9,500 of America’s best and brightest high school students traveled to San Antonio to Create. Lead. Inspire. as they competed for the opportunity to win more than $179,000 in cash awards.
