SBISD celebrates National Mentoring Month with insightful event, The Power of Showing Up

As Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) commemorates National Mentoring Month and the 20th anniversary of the Springboard Mentoring Program, we invite YOU and your student to a very special community event, The Power of Showing Up: The Art of Building Unbreakable Bonds featuring Aric Bostick, on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024.

This event will be held at Don Coleman Coliseum in Houston, TX from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. With doors opening at 6:00 p.m., parents, educators, mentors and everyone invested in nurturing young minds should plan to attend.

The evening’s presentation by the renowned education speaker, Aric Bostick, will offer invaluable insights on nurturing relationships and fostering positive connections.

Attendees will gain insights regarding the relationships between children and adults and how to develop skills to create meaningful dialogues, enabling both adults and children to feel seen, understood, and supported.

Bostick will also share insights on the crucial skills needed to lead a fulfilling life in a fast-paced world, where distractions abound. Parents, educators and mentors who wish to enhance their skills in the process of nurturing young minds are encouraged to attend.
