Tour Details
Finca Luna Nueva
Our home the first 3 days of our trip,
Finca Luna Nueva's lush setting is home to the Sacred Seeds Sanctuary Garden, which we will tour along with the farm and chocolate tours. There's a large pool and a hot tub as well!
Amatierra
Our home for the last 4 days of our trip,
Amatierra retreat center features a gorgeous yoga studio for yoga and classes, spa, swimming pool, trails, and mountain forest plants galore. Along with classes and herb walks, one day is available for optional tours to the beach or Poas volcano (see below).
Arenal is Costa Rica's best-known volcano. It's a stratovolcano - a large, symmetrical volcano that's built upon layers of ash, rock and lava - and at 5,437 feet (1,657 meters), it stands high above the rest of the countryside. After nearly 400 of years of inactivity, Arenal began erupting in 1968, when it exploded and buried over 5 mi² (15 km²) in rocks, lava, and ash. That eruptive cycle took pause in 2010 when the volcano entered into an indefinite resting phrase. There are lots of native plants and hiking trails around the volcano as well as excellent views.
Arenal Hot Springs
After our visit to Arenal Volcano, we will stop for a couple of hours at the
nearby hot springs.They are simply gorgeous with various temperature outdoor natural pools. A must see and experience in Costa Rica!
OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS ON THURS JULY 4, 2019
Neither of these tours is included in the cost of our trip but a group fee will be obtained for the best rates possible. Please choose which one you wish to do before traveling to Costa Rica. Of course, you may also stay at Amatierra to lounge by the pool, hike, have a massage or energy healing session, or just rest. It's up to you!
